Lions Club recognizes scholarship winners
At its meeting on Wednesday, June 10, the Groesbeck Lions Club recognized its three scholarship winners from the Groesbeck High School Class of 2020. The recipients of the three scholarships were Maggie Devrow, Hannah DeFriend, and Ashleigh Raymond. The scholarships were presented by Kara McLelland, current president of the Groesbeck Lions Club.
Each of the three scholarship winners thanked the Lions Club. Also, each three young ladies told of their plans for the future.
In other business, the Club received an update on the summer fan program. The Lions Club will be participating in the “Meals on Wheels” program. Members were reminded that the Club will soon be ordering new Lions Club shirts with the cost being $25.00 per shirt.
Also, the Club reminds one and all that the annual Groesbeck Lions Club Car Show will be on Saturday, August 22, in the Groesbeck City Park.
