Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Thursday, the 5th day of December, from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Groesbeck Funeral Home.
Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Martha Pippin will be conducted Thursday, December 5, 2019, at 1 pm in the Groesbeck Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Jon Honea officiating. Burial will follow at the Pippin Cemetery. Martha was born on the 13th day of January, 1939, in Mt Pleasant, Texas to Fred and Bessie Greer. Martha graduated from High School in Gainesville, Tx.
Martha was a tall, strong woman and wore many hats over the years. To name a few, she was a Mother to many, a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, a Pianist, a Music Teacher, a Mary Kay representative, an Artist and a great furniture saleswoman.
Martha was known for her beautiful blue eyes, she had a contagious smile and was always available for a good “ Martha Talk”. She was a master in the kitchen, and was an active member in the community when she lived in Groesbeck. She married her Soulmate and the love of her life Lynn Pippin, and you would always find them walking hand in hand. Together they enjoyed traveling the states going to auctions, estate sales and the Baylor Girls Basketball games. They owned and operated the Groesbeck Antique Mall, and Lynn said she was the best business partner and life partner. He recalls them visiting with customers and eating lunches together and he working on furniture in the back while she was selling up front.
You had a
heart of gold
and a
beautiful soul.
You were
loved by
so many,
young and old.
If we had one
more day
to spend
with you,
We would tell you
how much we love you
and make all
your dreams come true.
You were more
than a Mom.
You were our
best friend too.
We are so lost
without you, and
understand
this is Heavens
gain.
We know you’re
happy; you’re
no longer
in pain.
You’ll live
in our hearts
forever Mom,
until we meet again.
