Reminder that Groesbeck is still under Stage 2 of the Water Conservation Plan
Mandatory restrictions also began with Stage 2 of Water Conservation. Restrictions for Stage 2 are outlined below.
Stage 2
Inform the public of trigger condition through the news media and encourage them to look for ways to voluntary reduce water usage. Activate an information center and discuss the situation in the local news media weekly. Implement a voluntary lawn watering schedule: Odd number street addresses water on Wednesday and Saturday Even number street addresses water on Thursday and Sunday Watering hours are to be scheduled between midnight and 12:00 noon Prohibit non-essential water usage, such as, sidewalks, driveways, water hydrant flushing. Limit residential car washing, window washing and pavement washing unless a bucket is used. Assess fines to water wasters, as defined by a violation of the published ordinance.
