As I discussed in a previous article, Limestone County has had a long history with alcohol sales, voting to go dry nearly six years before federal prohibition.
In addition to their regular business on Tuesday, Aug. 27, Limestone County commissioners heard from several citizens who had heard of a possible change in management at the County Fairgrounds.
The first GISD school board meeting of the new school year was held on Monday, Aug. 26 at the GHS Conference Room, and all the board members brought their A-game, asking questions about property tax value impact and the proposed budget before approving it.
GHS’ "Meet the Goats" event took place on Friday, Aug. 23, bringing together students, parents, and sports enthusiasts from the community to support the upcoming fall sports season.
