Baylor University Celebrates 2020-2021 Graduates
Baylor University celebrated more than 7,500 graduates of the Classes of 2020 and 2021 during six in-person commencement ceremonies May 6-8 at McLane Stadium on the banks of the Brazos River.

The students listed on the Dean’s List of Academic Honors at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, are undergraduates who have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.5 out of a perfect 4.0 in all work attempted while enrolled in not less than 12 semester hours. The university would like to recognize the following students for earning the honor for the Spring 2021 semester.
The Limestone County Historical Commission voted to support the transfer of Old Fort Parker to the State Historical Commission.
As this past June 19, 2021, was celebrated as a national holiday, I couldn’t help but think of my dad, Mr. Joe Louis Phillips. Oh, how my dad loved Juneteenth. The Phillips’ Family has celebrated Juneteenth for many generations, and the importance of this holiday has been and will forever be recognized and passed down because of its significance to him and to us all.
