Groesbeck City Administrator Chris Henson and the city council spent about an hour working through the proposed budget for the 2021-22 fiscal year on Tues., Aug. 17, immediately following their regular meeting and beginning at 6:30 p.m. Henson was proud to present another conservative, balanced budget to the council with no increase in property taxes, but a few changes that will benefit city employees and allow for action on needed city projects.

Limestone County commissioners attended to a myriad of business dealings at their regular meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 24; perhaps most notably, establishing the tax rate and finalizing budget plans for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
A donation by Mutual Assistance Group (MAG) in the amount of $17,500 will cover costs to install bullet-resistant windshields in all five active Groesbeck Police Department vehicles, as accepted by the Groesbeck City Council at their meeting on Tuesday, August 17.
