The Groesbeck Lions Club was presented a very informative program by a cancer survivor.
With the Limestone County Courthouse roof now totally redone, Sam Callis can consider his final project as Maintenance Director for the courthouse a crowning achievement. Working up through several positions under three county judges in his 18-year tenure, Callis has seen grant opportunities change and sometimes fall just outside the county’s grasp, but for the past four years, he has been working closely with the Texas Historical Commission (THC) to restore a portion of the building that will celebrate its 100th birthday in 2024.
The Groesbeck Lions Club heard an interesting program last Wednesday, Sept. 22, presented by local artist Jerry Wilson. The speaker was introduced by Lions Frederick Krajewski.
