Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce Announces New Board Appointments and Upcoming Events
The Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce has recently made significant changes and is gearing up for an exciting year ahead. In March, Brandi Getz was appointed as president of the board, and Lucy Saldivar took on the role of vice president. The current Chamber directors are Russ Foster, Diana Diaz, Joan McEntyre, Julia Morton, and John Bush, with Jennifer Paul continuing as executive director.
At the Chamber’s regular meeting on Tuesday, April 1, the board voted to fill recent vacancies with three new members. Valerie Henson, Gabriela Perez, and RaeLynne Bell were welcomed to the board, strengthening the leadership team as they work to support local businesses and the community.
The Chamber is now accepting applications for its 2025 Scholarship. High school students are encouraged to apply before the April 30 deadline. Another major topic at the April 1 meeting was the Miss Firecracker Pageant, set to take place at the Groesbeck Convention Center this summer. Pageant organizers, including Michelle Latray, shared plans to expand the event for 2025. The pageant will now be a two-day event, scheduled for June 30 and July 1. Additionally, scholarships will be awarded through the pageant, making it an even more impactful event for young women in the community. Stay tuned for more details as the date approaches.
At the April meeting, Pizza Hut of Groesbeck was recognized as the April Business of the Month. This recognition highlights the importance of supporting local businesses and their contributions to the community. The Chamber encourages everyone to visit and support Pizza Hut for its continued excellence in service and community involvement.
The Chamber is preparing for a series of exciting events in the coming months. The Groesbeck Pro Rodeo, sanctioned by the UPRA and CPRA, will be held from April 25-27 at the Limestone County Fairgrounds. This action-packed event will feature top rodeo athletes and exciting competitions such as Mutton Bustin', Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, and Tie-Down Roping. Tickets are $10 each and available online at the chamber website or at the gate.
In addition to the rodeo, there will be a variety of food, drink, and merchandise vendors on-site. Local businesses looking for exposure can also take advantage of available sponsorship opportunities.
The Spring City-Wide Garage Sale is set for Saturday, May 3, within the city limits of Groesbeck. To participate, visit the Chamber website and fill out the signup form to add your address to the official listings.

The Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce holds its monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 12 p.m. at the Groesbeck Convention Center.
