Groesbeck PTO shares appreciation to Police Department with cookies
Groesbeck H.O. Whitehurst Elementary PTO President Samantha Sellers stopped by the Groesbeck Police Department Monday, May 8 to drop off goodies for the officers who direct traffic during the active school zones.
“With the help of Brookshires, we had the pleasure of giving the police officers who work traffic control for the schools some cookies. It’s a small token of appreciation for their amazing hard work and dedication to our kids and our town,” said Sellers. “Chief Henson mentioned that he has been helping in this way since 2007! Some of the kiddos that were in elementary when he started are now driving themselves to school, how cool!”
Police Chief Chris Henson shared his appreciation in a Facebook post.
“We appreciate the gesture from the PTO and Brookshire’s Grocery. We look forward to working together as we continue our service to GISD.”
