The Red Goat Cafe, located at 701 S. Ellis in Groesbeck, welcomed Santa Claus on Monday, Dec. 18, to spread holiday cheer and offer seasonal treats such as hot cocoa and gingerbread man cookies. Children from H.O. Whitehurst Elementary and the community were delighted to have the opportunity to sit with Santa and share their wish lists.

Ewing Calhoun and Mabel Copeland Vestal celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, Nov. 2, 2023, surrounded by their loving family and friends. The couple was joined in holy matrimony on the same day in 1963, in Jewett, Texas, by Reverend Phelps.
