ValenKind’s Day Celebration at Enge-Washington
Even though the weather turned nasty and it was three days before the traditional Valentine’s Day, Dr. Larry Miears, Principal of Enge-Washington Intermediate School, found some time Thursday, February 11th, to show appreciation to the EWIS teachers and staff. The school had planned to celebrate its ValenKind’s Day on Friday, February 12th as a grand finale to their week-long plus emphasis on being kind to others and showing acts of kindness. Assistant Principal Kelley Young and Counselor Brandi Urban were instrumental in the planning and facilitating of this celebration. Riding on “Nelli Bell”, Dr. Miears rode around the campus before everyone went home and distributed Yum Cupcakes to each teacher and staff member of EWIS.
