Groesbeck UIL Spelling team earns first place
Groesbeck ISD UIL Spelling team took third, ninth, and eleventh earning the first place team spot. Reece Champion earned third place. Danna Ranochak, and Kristine Ross finished out the team. All will be advancing to the State UIL Competition, Congratulation to all the UIL members and their Coach Ms. Sue Waller.
Kosse spring festival & car show a success
The Kosse Spring Festival held at the community center on Saturday, April 17 brought out many vendors, visitors, and residents of all ages. Aside from items like farm fresh eggs from Rainwater Farms, hand crafted decor by Linda Valls, and more from about a dozen booths, BBQ lunch items were available for purchase, and sweets and baked goods could be claimed through one of many cake walks.
Groesbeck Heritage Festival planned for weekend of May 28
Just a brief reminder that the first annual Groesbeck Heritage Festival will take on May 28, 29, 30. This year’s Festival will celebrate Groesbeck’s 150th anniversary of its founding.
Congratulations to FFA member
Congratulations to FFA member Carly Coker who competed at the Simbrah-Simmental Superbowl at the San Antonio Heifer show and rodeo. Coker won third place and $100 in showmanship. She also was chosen for a $250 scholarship.
