Mexia resident seeks donations after house fire on Christmas Eve

Mexia resident Jerry Mason lost everything, including his two dogs, Ziggy and Ginger, during a house fire on Christmas Eve. “He said he was in his bedroom. He came out and his living room table was on fire,” Mexia Fire Chief Rob LaFoy said. “He had some minor burns to his face, so he was sent to the hospital.”

Mondays, 6-8 p.m. – First Baptist Church of Tehuacana still hosts a knitting/crocheting group in the fellowship hall, making prayer shawls or lap robes for people.
