8:20 p.m. Officer Pantalici to 800 block Gala for reported fireworks complaint. Unable to locate responsible party.

July 6, 2021

2:00 p.m. Chief Henson to 800 block North Tyus for reported unattended burn. Fire department notified and extinguished fire. Homeowner warned for unpermitted burn.

July 7, 2021

2:15 a.m. Cpl. Hobbs to 300 block South Rusk for reported welfare concern. Complainant requested check of family member who left that location. Family member located.

6:10 p.m. Officer Martin to 200 block East State for reported animal complaint. Complainant reported neighbor’s dog being aggressive. Dog returned to property prior to officer arrival. Investigation initiated.

9:55 p.m. Cpl. Hobbs to 300 block East Sabine for reported suspicious vehicle. Complainant reported unfamiliar vehicle in the area. Vehicle located and known to be nearby resident. No offense.

July 8, 2021

12:57 a.m. Officer Martin to 1200 block North Ellis for reported suspicious vehicle. Complainant reported unfamiliar vehicle on property. Vehicle was unoccupied. Unable to contact owner.

1:17 a.m. Officer Martin to 300 block East Jacinto for reported suspicious vehicle. Complainant reported vehicle near storage buildings. Vehicle driver located and determined to be authorized to be on property. No offense.

12:30 p.m. Sgt. Bell to 900 block West Trinity for reported animal complainant. Complainant reported animals abandoned by former tenant. Tenants located and agreed to return for animals.

12:50 p.m. Sgt. Bell to 1200 block North Ellis for reported theft. Complainant reported juveniles leaving school grounds with unknown property. Juveniles located and property recovered. Referred to juvenile detention for Burglary of Building and Credit/Debit Card Abuse.

3:49 p.m. Chief Henson and Detective Blanco to 600 block East Navasota for reported disturbance. One party arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and placed in jail.

8:40 p.m. Officer Pantalici to 300 block East Sabine for reported disturbance. Complainant reported second party brandishing gun. Allegation was unfounded.

July 9, 2021

11:30 a.m. Sgt. Bell to 300 block Church to assist Animal Control Officer.

4:05 p.m. Officer Martin to undisclosed address for reported possible solicitation of a minor. Investigation initiated.

4:16 p.m. Sgt. Bell to undisclosed address for reported disturbance. Suspect determined to have underlying mental health issues.

5:00 p.m. Officer Martin to 400 block West Sabine for reported burglary of building. Complainant reported building burglarized and items missing. One of the stolen items was recovered during a burglary investigation the previous week. Suspect identified. Investigation initiated.

July 10, 2021

8:53 a.m. Officer Cardenas to 300 block Church for fireworks complaint.

12:50 p.m. Officer Cardenas to police department for reported theft. Complainant reported theft of items from cemetery. Investigation initiated.

2:31 p.m. Officer Cardenas to 600 block East Jacinto for requested criminal trespass notice. Complainant requested second party be issued criminal trespass notice for complainant’s property. Notice served.

7:00 p.m. Officer Martin to 1300 block McClintic for reported suspicious vehicle. Complainant reported commercial motor vehicle leaking unknown fluid and exhibiting foul odor. Cargo determined to be spoiled meat. Owner located and made arrangements to remove vehicle and load.

7:50 p.m. Officer Martin to 500 block South Leon for reported utility complaint. Complainant reported water in the street. Determined to be broken water line. Public Works notified.

9:30 p.m. Officer Martin to 600 block West Jacinto for reported suspicious person. Complainant reported unfamiliar person screaming outside. Reported person located and reported being upset about family issue.

July 11, 2021

2:21 p.m. Officer Cardenas to 1300 block North Ellis for previously reported suspicious vehicle. Owner contacted and instructed to remove vehicle immediately. Owner complied and transported cargo to proper destination.

5:19 p.m. Officer Cardenas to SH 14 North for reported reckless driver. Vehicle located within city limits and stopped for observed traffic violation.

9:25 p.m. Cpl. Hobbs to SH 164 East for reported reckless driver. Vehicle located within city limits. Driver cited for observed violations.

10:15 p.m. Cpl. Hobbs and Chief Henson to 600 block East Farrar for reported disturbance with weapons. One party arrested and placed in jail.
