Fort Parker Memorial Park thanks the Young Marines
The Fort Parker Memorial Park wishes to thank the Young Marines for their great work at the cemetery.
Recently, some large trees at the cemetery were blown down or badly damaged during a large storm.
After the large trees were cut down by a professional crew, the Young Marines spent a great deal of time cleaning up the cemetery grounds and picking up the tree limbs, leaves, and other items caused by the removal of the damaged trees. The various items gathered by the Young Marines were later burned.
The Young Marines working at Fort Parker Memorial Park are listed below.
MSgt Mary Mullinnex, Cpl Leighanna Mackey, Cpl Leighton Mackey, LCPL Madalyn Shaw, LCPL Tammy Treere, PFC Trace Tooke, PVT Stormie Miller, PVT Wyatt Miller, PVT Scarlett White.
Parents of the Young Marines also assisted. Groesbeck Fire Department burned the trees and limbs which had to be removed.
The Commanding Officer of the Young Marines is Michelle Mullinnix, and Brian Hall is the Executive Officer.
Again, the Fort Parker Memorial Park very much appreciates the work of the Young Marines at the cemetery.
