Kosse Cyclone
July 4 in Kosse
About 1,000 people showed up to watch the Fireworks Show put on by the City of Kosse and the Kosse Volunteer Fire Department at the city park. Though parking reached capacity, many people parked in downtown streets and enjoyed the festive display from the comfort of their vehicles. As some neighboring counties like McLennan and Freestone canceled fireworks shows in light of the dry, hot weather, Kosse welcomed more visitors than usual. The show began at dark and lasted about 30 minutes, lighting up the sky over the pond, but resulting in no catch or spread of fire during or after the show. Alexandra Cannon photos/Groesbeck Journal

A simple, hand-painted mural was added to the exterior of Kosse’s downtown City Hall building on Thursday, June 30, featuring the “Little Town with a Big Heart’’ slogan in the city’s colors, white and purple, with red as an accent color. Alexandra Cannon photos/Groesbeck Journal
The Kosse T now open, meeting your boutique and beverage needs
The Kosse T is now open and serving energizing teas, meal replacement shakes, coffee and more to Kosse residents and visitors. Following the success of their original location in Groesbeck, Limestone Nutrition (LN) owners Lorraine Heath, Stacey Matjeka and Trish Telford decided to expand, seizing the chance to rent a downtown location from the Kosse Economic Development Corporation (EDC).
