Taste of Groesbeck happening Saturday
The Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce is having a citywide holiday celebration called “A Taste of Groesbeck”, on Sat., Dec. 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be in downtown Groesbeck, and all local businesses are encouraged to be open and share their best holiday gift ideas – and offer a small treat.
The Taste of Groesbeck was organized several years ago by the Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce to encourage local folks to do their Christmas shopping locally. While offering their customers a variety of possible Christmas gift items, the businesses participating in the event usually offer their customers a holiday food treat while they are shopping.
Everyone is invited to participate in the Taste of Groesbeck by visiting and shopping in various stores and this includes stores all over town. Sidewalk vendors and various food trucks will be in town throughout the day as well as local restaurants will be open during the day and possibly even running specials.
As an added incentive, the Chamber will be hosting a visit from Santa at the Parkette from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m with the SANTA POINTS sticker game. SANTA POINTS stickers will be available at all participating businesses for children to complete their cards. The SANTA POINTS Collection Card is printed to the left and participating businesses will have blank cards provided as well. Each child to turn in their completed card (9 stickers from 9 different participating businesses) to Santa’s Helpers at the parkette and will receive a small gift. The first 100 children to turn in a card will receive a special gift from Santa when they turn in their cards.
