  • Seven different young ladies from G.H.S. groups were nominated for homecoming queen by their peers. Other homecoming court nominees were: Jillian Thoele (Tennis), Alexia Rivero (Athletics), Emily Henson (Theatre), Halle Kate Jones (National Honor Society), Marlee Price (FFA), and Emily Chiglo (Student Council). LaDasha Jackson crowned 2022 Homecoming Queen

LaDasha Jackson was crowned the 2022 Groesbeck Homecoming Queen at the football game on Friday, Oct. 7.  She was escorted by her uncle Kerry D. Jackson.

LaDasha is the daughter of Camill and LaDave Allen Jackson, the granddaughter of Kerry Wayne Jackson and the late Merry Etta Jackson, Phelitha and Johnny Davis.

She has been a member of the G.H.S. band for four years and is a member of the varsity color guard. She has also participated in powerlifting, softball, track, and field. She was the cheer mascot her freshman year, and athletic trainer. 

After graduating LaDasha plans to attend Sam Houston State University to pursue a career in Criminal Justice to become a Homicide Detective.

LaDasha thanked her ‘village’ that supported her through her entire high school career and Davion Thomas for being an added motivation.

Each nominee walked with their selected guardian but G.H.S. escorts were also selected.
