Collision on Hwy 14 Near Groesbeck Claims Two Lives
A crash occurred late Friday evening, March 21, on State Highway 14 north of Groesbeck, killing two people and injuring others.
The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene about 11:23 p.m. after a head-on collision involving two Ford vehicles.
According to DPS, a Ford passenger car traveling north collided with a Ford SUV traveling south on Highway 14, near Limestone County Road 404.
The force of the crash resulted in the driver of the passenger car, Erick Cano-Hernandez, 30, of Uvalde, being pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the SUV, John Moss, 44, of Groesbeck was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple where he later succumbed to injuries at the hospital. His wife Robyn is currently still in the hospital undergoing surgeries according to a family friend.

Authorities are urging drivers to remain vigilant and immediately report any wrong-way drivers. "If you see a wrong-way driver approaching, reduce your speed, pull off the roadway, and call 911," said Sgt. Ryan Howard of the Texas DPS.
