The Groesbeck community will gather at Lake Limestone Park on Saturday, April 27, for the 2nd Annual Chad Walker Memorial Fishing Tournament, a heartfelt tribute to a beloved local hero and a testament to his life of service.
The Limestone County Historical Commission held its regular meeting at 6 p.m. on April 2, in Groesbeck at the Limestone County Courtroom.
Early voting began Monday, April 22 for municipal, school board and various bond elections.
On Friday, April 26, 1957, a hearing took place in Judge Clarence Ferguson’s 77th district court at 10 a.m. to determine whether a restraining order involving a school election, held Saturday, April 20, in the Ben Hur Common School District of Limestone County and the Mart Independent School District of McLennan County, should be made permanent.
Brianna Latray, reigning Miss Fall Frolic, will be a contestant at Miss Texas Teen, which is part of the Miss America Pageant Program.
