Battle of the River Chamber Challenge is Back!

The Groesbeck Chamber of Commerce and Mexia Area Chamber of Commerce are challenging the communities to a fundraising event to support both school districts during the return of the historic Battle of the River rivalry.

This is the second year that the two chambers have challenged businesses in both cities to donate and encourage customers to donate in an attempt to have some good, clean rivalry fun together.

Merchant jars are scattered throughout the cities for the month of September.

Even if there isn’t a jar at a certain location, people can still donate by contacting the respective chamber. All donations from spare change, dollars, and checks are appreciated and all the money collected will go directly back to the respective districts.
