Groesbeck Independent School District (GISD) Superintendent Anthony Figueroa announced his decision to leave the district on the evening of Nov. 20. After nearly two years as GISD superintendent, Figueroa has been named the lone finalist for the superintendent position at Scurry-Rosser Independent School District following a unanimous 7-0 vote by their board.
